Dependant Military Families
Willow Financial Bank Supports Our Local Military Community
It is one of the moments in history when you remember exactly where you were and what you were doing when you heard that a plane had struck the World Trade Center, followed by the second tower, the Pentagon and finally Shanksville. Almost 3,000 people died that day in the attacks, including firefighters, paramedics and police officers. It was one of the darkest days in the history of our country, but it was also a day when courage prevailed.
Today, five years after this tragedy we are still at war. Many of us are unaware that when a military reservist is called to active duty the lifestyle of the families they may leave behind changes drastically due to a substantial loss in income. The employer determines whether or not the same job will be waiting for those who return from active duty. When the military person loses his or her civilian income, it creates a domino effect on the families at home. Paying bills becomes a hardship. One problem suddenly becomes many problems: mortgage payments, insurance and possibly the need for childcare if the mother needs to return to work
Our soldiers take time away from their families to keep us all out of harm’s way. They are true heroes and deserve a "thank you" that words cannot express. They deserve our utmost respect at all times and our financial support. To assist our men and women in the military performing their duties far from home on our behalf, Willow Financial Bank reaches out to our customers, local businesses and the public to help with donations to our Dependent Military Families Fund.
Because the Military is a non-profit, all funds are exchanged for coupons, which are then presented to a representative at NASJRB, Willow Grove to be redeemed at supermarkets, service stations, pharmacies, etc. As long as our military is fighting for our freedoms, Willow Financial Bank will provide an account for the comfort of their families.
Donations can be made at all 28 Willow Financial Bank offices, located in Eastern Montgomery County, Bucks, Chester and Philadelphia counties.
