Security Policy
Our Commitment to You
We understand that your trust in Willow Financial Bank is dependent on how well we secure your personal, business, and account information. Our Information Security program is comprehensive and proactive to ensure that your information is secure however you choose to bank with us through branch offices, ATMs, telephone, or the Internet.
Security Is Everyone's Responsibility
At Willow Financial Bank, we take the safeguarding of your information seriously. Keeping your information safe and secure is every Bank employee's responsibility.
Security Controls and Browser Requirements
Security of your personal and business account information is of critical importance. To assist us in offering financial services in a secure manner, we employ a number of controls described below. These controls allow us to properly authenticate your identity when you access these services and protect your information as it travels over the Internet between your home or business computer and us. Many of the financial services we provide on this Web site use access codes, such as your login ID, password, or Personal Identification Number (PIN). For your protection, no matter which channel you choose, we verify you are who you say you are before granting access to your accounts.
This site requires the use of secure browsers to protect you while you access our online services. Secure browsers allow you to communicate with our Web site in a protected session by encrypting information that flows between you and the site. To verify your session is secure, look for https: instead of http: in the URL address line, and a secure symbol (for example, closed padlock or key) on the status bar of your browser located on the lower part of the screen. For greater security when viewing your account information over the Internet, we require you use a browser with 128-bit encryption. For more information on your browser's features and how to download a more secure version of your browser, click on one of the browser links at the bottom of this page.
A time-out is used on selected parts of our Web site to provide an additional level of protection. This feature automatically logs out of your account after an extended period of time. When this occurs, you will be required to log back in to our online service. By re-establishing and authenticating your credentials for your online session, our online service is helping to reduce unauthorized access to your accounts with us.
Our Web site uses firewalls to protect our computer systems and your personal and business information. Firewalls can be thought of as a selective barrier that permits only specific types of traffic (transactions) through to our systems.
How Can You Help Protect Your Information?
While the Bank continues to provide security controls to protect your information, it is extremely important that you share in the responsibility for security. The following are some ways you can protect yourself and your accounts:
- Never share your access codes (User ID, password, PIN) with anyone. Remember, a bank representative will never ask you for your Password or PIN.
- Do not write down your password.
- Change your access codes frequently (at least every 90 days; or more frequently, if you like). If you believe your access codes have been compromised, change them and contact us immediately at 610-995-1700 and ask for our Electronic Banking Support area.
- Use a personal firewall to prevent hackers from invading your personal computer, especially if you are using DSL or a cable modem to access the Internet.
- Install virus protection software and scan all downloaded software, as well as all diskettes, before use. Also, delete any email received from an unknown source (do not open the email).
- Always click on the Log Off button on the Web site to exit the online service and prevent further access to your account.
- When using a public PC (such as at a library or school), make sure no one watches you enter your UserID and password, Log Off when you are finished using the online service, and close out of the browser.
